Join us for an enchanting evening of music, laughter, and nostalgia as Volunteer Park transforms into a cozy outdoor cinema, complete with a large screen and state-of-the-art sound system, for a special screening of the beloved musical film, “The Wiz”! Be prepared to follow the yellow brick road on August 27th at 7:30pm , as we come together to celebrate the magic and wonder of this timeless classic.
+Pre-Show Festivities: Before the movie begins, get ready to be entertained by local drag performers and enjoy trivia, dance performances, and even a few surprises that will transport you straight into the land of Oz!
+Costume Contest: Come dressed as your favorite character from “The Wiz” or any other magical persona from the land of Oz. Whether you channel the courage of the Lion, the wisdom of the Scarecrow, the heart of the Tin Man, or the magic of Dorothy, your creative costumes could earn you fantastic prizes. Don’t miss the chance to show off your Oz-inspired style!
+Snacks and Treats: No movie night is complete without delicious snacks. Indulge in a variety of mouthwatering concessions, including popsicles, candy, and refreshing beverages, available for purchase throughout the event, provided by Ma & Pop Popsicles.
