Theo Croker, a storytelling Grammy-nominated trumpeter (and grandson of trumpet legend Doc Cheatham) presents the shapeshifting music of his sixth album, BLK2LIFE || A FUTURE PAST. “From swirling, left-field hip-hop beats to propellant swing to entrancing passages of African percussion” (NYT). The ensemble includes Mike King on piano, Shekwoaga Ode on drums, and Eric Wheeler on bass. $10-50. Both in-person* and live stream tickets are available. The live stream is only available for viewing at the same time and date as the in-person event.
