Day Two – African American Writers’ Alliance WorkshopStreaming Live Friday, June 18, 2021, 5:00 PM PST on LANGSTON’s Facebook page, LANGSTON YouTube channel, and Zoom.
Free. Registration is appreciated.
Celebrate Juneteenth with the African American Writers Alliance (AAWA) during an evening of storytelling followed by an interactive writing workshop.
Members of AAWA will explore and share the stories of struggles and triumphs through the voices and experiences of former slaves and responses to slave narratives.
The audience will then be given a series of writing prompts, time to explore what Juneteenth means to them; past and present and share out with the community if they desire.

Pen, Paper, or Computer

Shining a light on artists, elders, activists, community members, and organizations representing a number of fields that are working to address complex issues in creative ways. We Out Here will feature talks, presentations, workshops, and live performances from June 17-19, 2021.
