
Sadiqua Iman
Programs Director
Sadiqua Iman is a director, producer, and costume designer. She co-founded Nile’s Edge Healing Arts, an African-centered healing arts center, and Earth Pearl Collective, a queer black arts nonprofit dedicated to healing communities through creative collaborations. Through EPC, she created and produced Tail Feather, a burlesque ballet, Sovereign queer black woman festival, C.L.I.T. (consciously learning intimacy together) podcast, and an all-women of color cast of A Streetcar Named Desire. Sadiqua produces events with Black & Tan Hall like the Greenbook Tour Launch Event which activated key stops on the self-guided app, and the Block Parties in Hillman City this past summer. In 2020 Sadiqua directed August Wilson’s Gem of the Ocean at the Chattanooga Theatre Center and completed her MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University. Her latest performance project is “Momentum of the Muse,” a multi-part dance film exploring and engaging with black art in Seattle, Washington, which was last featured at the Wa Na Wari Walk the Block and Arte Noire grand opening event in the Central District.
